Xhaka Acknowledges That He Cried When Joining Leverkusen, But Not Because He Was Missing Arsenal

Granit Xhaka said he shed happy tears on finalizing his summer transfer from Arsenal to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Swiss midfielder admitted, “I’m a very emotional person; I like to cry, and I’m not ashamed of it.”

I did, of course, occasionally cry with joy. As an illustration, consider the time I moved to Leverkusen.

“I also shed happy tears because I was so eager to return. It’s a component of who you are, in my opinion.

Xhaka spent about £21.4 million to move to Leverkusen after spending seven seasons in north London. The 30-year-old won two FA Cups and made 297 appearances for the Gunners.
