“West Ham United Coach Julen Lopetegui Denies Allegations of Racism
London, England – West Ham United coach Julen Lopetegui has vehemently denied allegations of racism that have been leveled against him. In a press conference held earlier today, Lopetegui stated, ‘I am not a racist, and I find these allegations deeply upsetting and hurtful.’
The allegations surfaced earlier this week, with several players and staff members coming forward to accuse Lopetegui of making racist comments and engaging in discriminatory behavior.
Lopetegui acknowledged that he had used ‘inappropriate language’ in the past, but insisted that it was not motivated by racism. ‘I have always prided myself on being a fair and respectful manager, and I would never intentionally hurt or offend anyone,’ he said.
