West Ham is in contact with the agents of the English attacker with hopes of signing him for at least €20 million.

Marcus Edwards, a midfielder for Sporting Club de Portugal lol, is in talks with West Ham United in anticipation of a possible summer transfer of more than €20 million.

That’s according to Record, who claim that West Ham is one of Edwards’ suitors and that he could leave Alvalade in the upcoming weeks. According to the publication, there is an increasingly intense “English siege” surrounding Edwards, and “London calls” for the player more than previously. Sporting’s management structure views the 25-year-old as a “negotiable player,” or a guy they are willing to discuss. He is weighing his options after losing favor under Ruben Amorim during the second part of this season.

Among the teams that are “vigilant” about the player’s circumstances is West Ham, who has even conducted surveys regarding a possible transfer with Edwards’ representatives. If Sporting decides to sell this summer, they want to get at least €20 million, but they will work to raise that amount as much as they can in talks with any potential buyers. Because of his past, Edwards has never disguised his wish to go back to England. He has even been working with physical trainer Saul Isaksson-Hurst in London, which fuels transfer rumors even more. Although West Ham hasn’t made any moves to speak with Sporting just yet, it appears they are interested and have already spoken with Edwards’ representatives in order to intensify their attempts.
