The Manchester Evening News quoted When Manchester United travels to FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, Paul Scholes doesn’t think we have a great chance of winning.
The Red Devils won their first game in the continental competition this season, defeating Copenhagen 1-0 in the rematch.
Before the second leg, Scholes has provided two reasons why we should be concerned.
Speaking about Manchester United’s performance this year, Scholes said, “They’re in big trouble.”
“In the Champions League, I usually advise teams to win their home games and aim for a draw or victory away from home, as this will usually guarantee them a spot.
“If I were a betting man, I would predict that they wouldn’t make it out of the group. Think of Sevilla as an example of how they demonstrated their weakness in away games last year.
“The ambiance was excellent. They broke down because they couldn’t handle the hostile environment.”
“It makes me worry about going to Copenhagen, which isn’t a brilliant team but they’re organized,” the former Manchester United player continued. I’m not sure if that squad has the fighters or the character to handle a large crowd.”
