Two Everton players are now close to returning from injury and should be in full training soon

Everton have just one final pre-season friendly before they kick off their 2024/25 campaign with a clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.

But next up for Sean Dyche‘s side is a friendly against Roma at Goodison Park on Saturday evening in what will be their final game ahead of their season opener.

It’s certainly been a busy summer on Merseyside for Everton who have seen the action unfold both on and off the pitch.

Kevin Thelwell has been a busy man in the market with four new faces coming through the doors at Goodison.

That is on top of Everton selling players in June to meet the PSR deadline as well as the recent sale of Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for £50m.

But there is even more good news for the Everton fans ahead of the new season with Dyche now being handed a triple injury boost at Finch Farm.

What’s the latest Everton injury news?

Before providing the good news, Everton have been dealt with a major setback over the last week to one of their forwards.

Youssef Chermiti sustained an issue in one of the pre-season friendlies which Dyche admitted did not look great.

It has since been revealed that the Portuguese striker has now undergone minor foot surgery which will see him miss the opening weeks of the season.

But there is some positives to come out of Finch Farm over recent days ahead of that game against the Seagulls

According to The Athletic, Jordan Pickford has now returned to full training following his delayed holiday due to England reaching the Euros final.
