Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to sign Viktor Gyokeres

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, and former Millwall goalkeeper turned pundit Bryan King believes that a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres would be perfect for the North Londoners.

The North Londoners have been linked with a list of strikers this summer as Daniel Levy looks to sign marquee number nine to fill the void left by the departure of Harry Kane last summer. The Tottenham boss had to make do with Son, who is primarily a left winger, in the central position for the majority of the season owing to Richarlison’s injury problems. However, fillers no more, as Spurs want to bring in marquee number nine in the upcoming summer window.

Bryan King believes Viktor Gyokeres is the perfect fit for Spurs attack

Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to sign Viktor Gyokeres.

Bryan King has been a senior scout at White Hart Lane, and he insists that the 25-year-old would be ideal for Ange Postecoglou’s style of play. He acknowledges the quality that Gyokeres possesses and the grind that he puts into every game.

Viktor Gyokeres has been one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, with an exceptional tally of 29 goals and 10 assists, which has helped Sporting Lisbon in their pursuit of the Portuguese League title.

King’s acknowledgement of the striker comes after Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe revealed Spurs’ interest in the 25-year-old former Coventry City striker.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Bryan King said:

“Gyokeres is an excellent player. He did very well in Sweden before moving to Coventry City, where he showed his goal-scoring quality.

“I think he would cost a lot of money, but he would be the perfect player for Ange Postecoglou. He works hard, he is tough, and I think the Spurs fans would like him.”
