Shohei Ohtani’s debut season with the Los Angeles Dodgers has begun, with the NL powerhouse taking on the San Diego Padres on Wednesday in Seoul, South Korea.
Ohtani, who inked a $700 million contract with the Dodgers this offseason, grounded into a fielder’s choice in his first at-bat with the franchise.
Then in the third inning he got his first hit of the year when he roped a single into right field off Yu Darvish
Ohtani’s wife, Mamiko Tanaka, is at the game and she loved seeing her husband get his first hit as a member of the Dodgers:

It should be a fun season for Ohtani and the Dodgers.
