WOMEN’S OPEN: SHIN JI-YAI TAKES LEAD AS NELLY KORDA SLIPS
Shin Ji-yai has seized the lead at the Women’s Open at St Andrews, carding an impressive 67 in the third round to reach 7 under par.
The Korean golfer, a two-time champion, surged ahead of overnight leader Nelly Korda, who struggled with a 75, including two bogeys and a disastrous drive out of bounds at the 16th tee.
Korda, the world No. 1, remains optimistic, focusing on momentum despite challenging winds and potential rain.
A talented pack, including Jenny Shin, Yin Ruoning, Lilia Vu, Lydia Ko, and Charley Hull, trails Shin within five shots, setting up a thrilling final round.
Esther Henseleit made a significant move, jumping to 2 under par and tied for 10th place.
The stage is set for an electrifying conclusion at St Andrews!
