Oregon State Bolsters Receiving Position As Michigan’s Darrius Clemons Announces Transfer

Oregon State landed an in-state transfer Monday when former Westview High star announced he’s leaving Michigan for the Beavers’ football program.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Clemons, a 4-star recruit who signed with the Wolverines for the class of 2022, played two years at Michigan.

Clemons played in 18 games for Michigan, making four receptions for 40 yards. Clemons will have three years to complete his two years of eligibility. He entered the transfer portal shortly after the Wolverines won the national title on Jan. 8.

Clemons, who had more than three dozen scholarship offers while at Westview, had 40 receptions for 890 yards during his senior season for the Wildcats.

Clemons is the 14th player to transfer into OSU’s program since the 2023 regular season ended. The Beavers, looking to bolster the receiver position after losing starters Anthony Gould and Silas Bolden, now have Clemons, as well as 4-star high school senior Jordan Anderson. OSU also has a commitment from state of Washington standout Malachi Durant.
