Napoli have reportedly submitted a “new offer” for Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala.
Recent reports have claimed that Napoli and Juventus had submitted a bid. However, it was said that the former is “only” looking for a loan deal and that Forest want to offload Mangala permanently in January.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s arrival at the City Ground has seen the Belgium international’s game time limited. The 25-year-old started Nuno’s first game in charge, against Bournemouth, but was hooked at half-time as Forest fell to a 3-2 defeat. He has since made a brief appearance against Manchester United and played against Blackpool and Brentford.

And now, journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Napoli’s new bid for Mangala is a six-month loan with an obligation to buy. He adds that the total package is “around €30-35million” but claims that Forest “want more” for the midfielder.
“Exclusive: Napoli have submitted a new offer for Orel #Mangala in the last hours!” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “6-months-loan. Obligation to buy. Total package with a loan fee included: Around €30-35m.”
“Forest bosses want more. The 25-year-old midfielder is keen on the move.
“The obligation to buy will be activated as soon as he completes 50% of his matches in the second half of the season with at least 45 minutes of playing time.”
According to the journalist Sacha Tavolieri, personal terms between Napoli and Mangala are not an issue and it is now down to the clubs to do a deal or not.
Forest are needing be mindful of Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns during the transfer window. The Reds were charged with breaking the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR) on Monday.
