Nottingham Forest stars laud Callum Hudson-Odoi after win over Fulham
This was a performance from Hudson-Odoi that simply put a smile on the faces of supporters. He gave Kenny Tete, the Fulham right-back, a truly torrid night and he breathed a huge sigh of relief when he was forced off the field.
Keeping the 23-year-old fit is key for Forest. He’s hardly had the best few seasons when it comes to injuries but right now, touch wood, Hudson-Odoi does look to be fit and he’s looking sharper with every game he plays.
After the win over Fulham, Hudson-Odoi was spotted enjoying a warm embrace with Nuno Espirito Santo. He’s really starting to shine under the new head coach and he’s scored four of his five goals since he came to the club.
Chris Wood was the first to react on Instagram to Hudson-Odoi’s performance. He posted two emojis that suggested ‘top player’ and also included the flames emoji to suggest that the winger was on fire.
Orel Mangala was allowed to leave Forest in the summer but he’s still following the club’s fortunes closely. He simply posted ‘my brother’ and a love-heart emoji after Hudson-Odoi’s latest Forest showing.

Hudson-Odoi has been a ridiculously good signing
When Hudson-Odoi burst onto the scene with Chelsea he was tipped for big things. At a time when his contract was up in the air, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were snooping around him.
A serious injury to his Achilles set Hudson-Odoi back and at a club like Chelsea, he dropped way down the pecking order, spending last season on loan with Bayer Leverkusen.
That move didn’t work out and he ended up joining Forest permanently in the summer. After a slow start, he’s not getting back to his best and Espirito Santo would be wise to keep playing him.
His performance on Tuesday was magnificent. Forest stole the show under the City Ground lights and a large part of the excitement factor was the sheer directness of Hudson-Odoi down the left.
