Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive amid claims that the Reds are again interested in signing former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi
Nottingham Forest have submitted a loan bid for Fenerbahce’s Michy Batshuayi, it is claimed.
The Reds came close to signing Batshuayi last summer but a move never materialised as he moved to Turkey in a permanent deal. The former Chelsea striker has scored nine goals in all competitions so far this season but has struggled for game time at Fenerbahce in recent weeks.
Previous reports have claimed that Rangers are in pole position to sign him. But now it has been claimed that the Reds are also interested in getting a deal done for the 30-year-old.

According to Turkish media site Major, Forest are looking to sign the Belgian on loan until the end of the season. It is also claimed that the offer includes an obligation to buy the former Chelsea striker for €4million in the summer.
Fenerbahce president Ali Koc is said to have urged Batshuayi to make a decision on his future. He told En Son Haber (via the Daily Record): “I have told him If you want to stay, there is a place for you in Fenerbahce. But if you are restless when you are on the bench, it will affect the team. Let us know your final decision as soon as possible.”
Nuno Espirito Santo currently has Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood as the only out-and-out strikers in his squad, with the former missing large chunks of the campaign through injury. Batshuayi could be a useful option for Nuno, although the former Tottenham and Wolves boss has tended to only play one striker in a 4-2-3-1 system so far at Forest.
