Nottingham Forest are set to sign goalkeeper Carlos Miguel from Corinthians

The 6ft 8in stopper is likely to be the Premier League’s tallest player next season

Nottingham Forest are finalising the £3.4million signing of Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel.

The 25-year old Brazilian is expected to fly in for a medical this week after Forest triggered his release clause.

At 6ft 8in, Miguel is expected to be the tallest player in the Premier League next season.

He is an inch taller than former Liverpool and Tottenham giant Peter Crouch.

Young Chelsea keeper Lucas Bergstrom is 6ft 9in but the 21-year-old is likely to be loaned out for the third season in a row.
