Netflix Announces Multi-Part Documentary Series on Till Lindemann

Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of a multi-part documentary series centered around the life and career of Till Lindemann, the enigmatic frontman of German industrial metal band Rammstein. The series, set to premiere on September 6, 2025, promises an unfiltered look at one of the most provocative and influential figures in modern music.
Spanning Lindemann’s decades-long career, the documentary will delve into his origins in East Germany, his rise to global fame with Rammstein, and his often controversial public persona. Netflix describes the series as a “raw and intimate portrait of an artist who defies conventions,” combining never-before-seen footage, behind-the-scenes access, and exclusive interviews with band members, collaborators, critics, and Lindemann himself.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Maren Ade and produced in collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon and Netflix Studios, the series aims to explore not only Lindemann’s musical genius but also the complexity of his poetry, theatricality, and personal struggles. From the explosive pyrotechnics of Rammstein’s stage shows to the deeply poetic and often shocking lyrics, the documentary promises to capture the duality of a man who has captivated and divided audiences for decades.
In a statement, Netflix’s Head of Music Documentaries, Lena Richter, said: “Till Lindemann is a cultural icon. This series seeks to offer a nuanced exploration of his art and legacy, going far beyond the headlines.”
The documentary arrives amid renewed interest in Rammstein following the band’s recent world tour and rumors of new material. Fans of the band and newcomers alike are expected to tune in to what may be one of the most compelling rock documentaries of the decade.
“Till Lindemann” will be available globally on Netflix, with all episodes released simultaneously on September 6, 2025.
