Anthony Elanga starred as Nottingham Forest downed Manchester United yesterday and some Forest stars have reacted on Instagram.
The 21-year-old took his tally of goal contributions to 10 for the campaign with an assist for Morgan Gibbs-White to hit the winner.
Nicolas Dominguez had fired Forest into the lead, only for Marcus Rashford to equalise with 12 minutes of the contest remaining.
Elanga earns praise on Instagram after Forest showing
The Sweden international has been a breath of fresh air since arriving at the City Ground during the summer.
Elanga cost Forest £15 million from United and he’s set about showing the Red Devils exactly what they’re missing at the moment.
United were poor throughout. Gary Neville gave praise to Forest though, with Nuno Espirito Santo getting love from him.
For Elanga, he received praise from his Forest teammates on Instagram after his latest stellar performance.
Gibbs-White was the first to react. He simply posted: “On a plate”. That was clearly a nod towards the assist that Elanga registered for his goal.
Intriguingly, Fabio Carvalho was spotted at Forest yesterday. The Liverpool player posted on Elanga’s Instagram post and said: “Star Player.”
Forest stars Gonzalo Montiel and Callum Hudson-Odoi also posted on Elanga’s heartfelt message with emojis and GIFs.
Elanga is a seriously good singing
It will take Forest some time to get things right on the recruitment front and it’s fair to say the squad is too big.
However, Elanga is a remarkably good signing for Forest and to have four goals and six assists at this stage is absolutely massive.
The Reds did extremely well to sign the 21-year-old and he’s showcasing exactly what he’s capable of if he’s given regular game time.
Forest needed someone to step up on the back of Brennan Johnson leaving and Elanga looks like being that player.
Yesterday, he was superb and he richly deserved the adulation from his teammates at the end of the game.
