Former Leicester full back Mark Venus was newly appointed assistant manager at Birmingam City, as he again followed Tony Mowbray to a new destination, after the two companions left Sunderland earlier in the season. A great win at home in a replay vs. Hull City. Venus will not get a return, playing 61 league games for Leicester from 1985 to 1988.

Ben Mee played the full game for Brentford in their 3rd round away fixture vs. Wolves, being defeated 3-2 at Molineux. Wolves are through to the 4th round as they will play West Brom away at The Hawthorns in a special local derby.

Michael Keane was an unused sub for Everton in their 1-0 home win vs. Crystal Palace. Jeffrey Schlupp played the full game for The Eagles.

Oliver Norburn played the full game for Blackpool as they impressively held Nottingham Forest to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes as the game went to extra time. The Seasiders came back after being 2-0 down, but another former Leicester man, Chris Wood, scored the winner in the 110th minute to secure a 4th round fixture.

Forest were drawn away to Bristol City as three former Leicester teammates, Chris Wood, Matty James and Andy King all could be in action on Friday the 26th of January.

Leicester will play their home game vs. Birmingham on Saturday the 27th. The full list of games are scheduled from Thursday the 25th to Monday the 29th, opening with Bournemouth vs. Swansea, and finishing it all at Ewood Park where home team Blackburn will face Wrexham.
