Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner has been benched for the last two Premier League clashes with AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United
Matt Turner’s wife Ash Herron has claimed Nottingham Forest defender Gonzalo Montiel accidentally broke her nose during a warm-up.
Herron, who is a former cheerleader in the NFL, made the claim during an interview with talkSPORT. She explained: “I’ve got a broken nose right now because I went to a game and got hit in the nose.
“It happened during the warm-up. It was [Gonzalo] Montiel. I don’t think it’s [all] glitz and glamour.” The Turners moved to the East Midlands in the summer after the former New England Revolution goalkeeper moved from Arsenal to the City Ground.

In his first campaign at Forest, Turner has made 20 appearances in all competitions but recently was bumped to the bench for the clashes with AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United following the January signing of Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels from Strasbourg.
Further in the interview, Herron admitted the switch to the English top flight has been a learning curve for not only her husband but her family too. She added: “I don’t think I was necessarily prepared for the intensity of the Premier League.
