Manor Solomon to Leeds United transfer latest amid Tottenham twist and £20m decision

Manor Solomon remains the one player from last season’s Premier League promotion-winning team that Leeds United have yet to replace.

The Whites have tried their best to replace Solomon, as the chase for Igor Paixao proved, and missing out on the Brazilian to Marseille means they are still short out wide. Daniel James and Jack Harrison being unavailable for the pre-season friendly against Villarreal at Elland Road exposed their shortcomings.

Solomon, meanwhile, has yet to play for Tottenham Hotspur since returning to his parent club due to a calf injury. LeedsLive have rounded up the latest reporting on his situation;

“If you compare our offence now to the Championship offence last season, we have lost a standout player in the second half of the season in Manor Solomon, and we know we need additions in this position.

“We then have a day like today, where Daniel James is an important player but isn’t available due to a light injury concern. Jack Harrison wasn’t available due to a little adductor injury, then, of course, it’s a bit light in the offence.
