Man City May Be Without These Three Crucial Players For Their Game Against Liverpool Next Week.

Manchester City could be without a number of injured players for their Premier League clash with Liverpool next weekend.

Manchester City could be without first-choice goalkeeper Ederson for the Premier League clash against Liverpool later this month.

Pep Guardiola’s treble winners host Liverpool in East Manchester on November 25, with the Reds trailing City by just a single point in the Premier League table after 12 games.

Ederson had played in Manchester City’s pulsating 4-4 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday but now faces a race against time to be fit to face Liverpool after officially withdrawing from Brazil’s squad with a foot injury. His potential absence is the latest in a long line for manager Pep Guardiola.

The Cityzens will already be without the talismanic figure that is Kevin de Bruyne, the Belgian is currently sidelined with a recurrence of the hamstring injury he suffered in last season’s Champions League final victory over Inter Milan.

Defender-turned-midfielder John Stones is also set to be absent for Manchester City on November 25 after suffering a muscle injury during last week’s 3-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League. Manager Pep Guardiola recently alleviated fears that Stones could be set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines but admitted he was unsure if the England international would be fit for Liverpool’s visit to the Etihad next weekend.

“The doctor says it’s not as bad (as first thought), but still I don’t know,” said Guardiola. “When he is going to be fit again, he will be back.”

Meanwhile, defender Sergio Gomez is also set to miss the clash due to injury.
