Lyon have confirmed the signing of Orel Mangala (25) on loan until the end of the season from Nottingham Forest. OL’s deal to sign the Belgian midfielder will also include a purchase option should Les Gones want to make the move permanent.
OL will pay a €10m loan fee for the former Stuttgart and then will have an option of €20m to purchase the player permanently, according to Sky Sports News. Mangala was linked with a move to Napoli during the January transfer window but were ultimately unable to agree terms with the Lyon loanee. The 25-year-old’s transfer to OL was initially thought to be a permanent move.
Available for Marseille
Mangala could be in line for his debut against Marseille on Sunday. According to Florian Plettenberg, the Belgium international will be available for selection for Sunday’s Olympico following the completion of his move to the Groupama Stadium.
