The Los Angeles Lakers play their second in-season tournament game on Tuesday night at home against the Memphis Grizzlies. Los Angeles is coming off of back-to-back wins, one of which was against the Phoenix Suns in the first in-season tournament game of the year.
The second win in a row, against the Portland Trail Blazers, came without LeBron James. LeBron missed his first game of the season with a calf injury and it did not make a difference to the final outcome. Anthony Davis was able to lead the Lakers to victory over a less talented Blazers team.
LeBron has gotten three days off since last playing on Friday against the Suns. Is that enough rest for him to return to action against Memphis?

As it stands right now, LeBron James has been listed as questionable for Tuesday night’s action. At the time of writing, the last update for LeBron came on Monday. As tip-off gets closer on Tuesday we will get a better idea of whether or not LeBron is going to suit up.
LeBron’s calf injury does not seem overtly serious but the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has played ample minutes early in the 2023-24 season. If there is absolutely any doubt the Lakers will rightfully take the cautious approach and hold LeBron out for another game.

Anthony Davis also finds himself on the injury report but is listed as probable. Davis is only on the injury report because of the hip/groin injury that he suffered. Davis has played multiple games since suffering that injury.
Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent and Jalen Hood-Schifino all remain out of action. However, Vanderbilt received a promising injury update on Monday and his return to the court could happen sooner rather than later.
Full Grizzlies injury report vs Lakers:
Big man Xavier Tillman (knee) is listed as probable while Derrick Rose (knee soreness) remains out of action. Steven Adams suffered a preseason knee injury that will result in him missing the entire season while Brandon Clarke remains out with the torn Achilles he suffered in March.
Ja Morant is still serving his 25-game suspension. Tuesday night will be the 11th game that Morant serves as part of the suspension.
