As Celtic lost to Hearts, the Sky Sports analyst couldn’t help but make a jab.
Kris Boyd, as expected, rose his head as Celtic sank against Hearts to mercilessly mock his adversaries.
And the Sky Sports pundit is getting his Rangers sharks out to blast The Hearts’ song after Steven Naismith’s men stung the champions for the first time in over 16 years at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership. It left Brendan Rodgers bewildered and confused, forcing him to apologize to Celtic fans for the first time in his two periods in Glasgow, as the champions suffered consecutive league defeats, failing to increase their lead over Boyd’s previous club.
There were scenes of major discontent inside Parkhead fans, with fans making their’sack the board’ calls clear, and one punter giving Michael Nicholson and the powerbrokers an earful in the main stand. The former Kilmarnock striker included a shark emoji in his story, perhaps dropping a less-than-subtle reminder of the scenes of disorder and the railing that looked like a shark being chucked amid a protest during Celtic’s failed 10-in-a-row season.
He also blared ‘Hearts, Hearts, Glorious Hearts’ with the caption of two side-by-side pictures of himself reading: “Weekend football vs midweek football”. That picture was posted to the pundit’s Instagram page.
And Rangers fans are dutifully lapping it up, sharing Boyd’s post across social media to taunt their rivals as they prepare to face Aberdeen on Sunday in the Viaplay Cup final.
