Kevin Campbell has named West Ham left-back Emerson in his team of the season so far after his performances at the London Stadium under David Moyes.
The former Everton striker explained he has been impressed by Emerson’s displays in the Premier League so far this season, giving the high praise of including him in his team.
Emerson has stepped up for Moyes already this season, stamping his mark on the team and securing an almost guaranteed first-team spot at the London Stadium.

Explaining his selections live on BBC Final Score [30 December, 15:33], Campbell simply shared: “Emerson at West Ham – I’ve been really impressed. Really impressed with him.”
Stepping up to the plate
Emerson has started 17 of the 19 Premier League games played so far this season under Moyes, compared to just 16 starts in the entirety of last season, having made the left-back spot his own with Aaron Cresswell cast aside as a result of his step-up.
Having been selected as the number one choice in his position, it was left to the defender to ensure it stays that way, and given his displays in a West Ham shirt this year, he is unlikely to lose his place any time soon.
There has been a difference in quality when Cresswell is selected to start in domestic cup and Europa League games, with Emerson’s flying runs down the left-hand side and link-up play with Lucas Paqueta sorely missed when he has not been involved.
For Campbell to name him among his team of the season so far shows just how impressive the West Ham star has been, and he will now be looking to continue that strong form as the Hammers aim for another successful season.
