This year didn’t go the way any Cincinnati Bengals player or fan expected it to, but they did finish the season as everybody expected them to, especially Joe Mixon.
Mixon came out hard and finished with his foot on the gas pedal, all while finding the end zone twice, both in the first half. But that was just the beginning.
Mixon got into a rhythm early and stuck with it. He came into this game with just over 950 yards rushing this season and eclipsed 1,000 yards on the season in the first half, the fourth time in his career.

As he shed a tackle and walked into the end zone for the second time, he also found an extra $100,000 in his pocket.
With Mixon eclipsing 1,000 yards on the season, now only Corey Dillon has more 1,000-yard rushing seasons (6) than him in Bengals history. Mixon was only 171 yards short of his career high of 1,205 yards in 2021, the same year Cincinnati went to the Super Bowl.
Mixon’s early rushing touchdown made nine on the season and the 49th of his career. This also marked his first 100-yard game of the season, as he finished with 111 yards on the ground.
