Joe Flacco The Right Guy To Fill In At Quarterback For The Browns? Crowquill

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns (7-4) will start 38-year-old Joe Flacco at quarterback today on the road against the L.A. Rams (5-6).

Flacco replaces rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson who is in the concussion protocol from a hit suffered versus the Denver Broncos.

The Browns feel that Flacco is the next man up at QB and that he can still contribute as a NFL starter who has seen it all.

He was drafted by the Ravens in 2008, eventually leading them to a Super Bowl title over the San Francisco 49ers in 2013 and winning Super Bowl MVP in the process.

In addition to playing with the Ravens until 2018, he also played for the Broncos and the Jets. Last season as a Jet he threw five TDs and three INTs in five games for an average passer rating of 75.2. One of those games was a win over Cleveland.

Hopefully, Flacco survives Aaron Donald and the Rams’ pass rush to win, 28-24.
