CINCINNATI: Ja’Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson were named to the AFC Pro Bowl team for a third-straight season.
“This is well deserved for both Ja’Marr and Trey,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said in a statement. “The consistency that they put in on a day-to-day, year-to-year basis is why they are top performers in this league. It’s awesome that they get recognized for that. I’m very proud of their achievements and happy that they got this honor.”
The NFL made the announcement on Wednesday night. Chase and Hendrickson are the 20th and 21st players in Bengals history to be voted to the Pro Bowl three times.
Chase has 96 receptions for 1,197 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Hendrickson has a career-high 17 sacks, which is tied with T.J. Watt for the most in the NFL this season. He has a sack in 7-straight games.
Chase is the fifth player in Bengals history to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first three career seasons. Bob Trumpy (1968-70), Isaac Curtis (’73-75), Cris Collinsworth (’81-83) and AJ Green (2011-13) also accomplished that feat.
Joe Mixon is a first alternate and Orlando Brown Jr. is a third alternate.
The 2024 Pro Bowl Games take place on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., and will be televised live on ABC and ESPN.
