Helmut Marko Praises Isack Hadjar: “Immediately on the Pace and Very Spectacular”
Red Bull’s motorsport advisor Helmut Marko has once again heaped praise on French racing prodigy Isack Hadjar, highlighting the young driver’s natural speed and flair during his Grand Prix outings. Marko, known for his sharp eye for talent, described Hadjar as “immediately on the pace and very spectacular” — a testament to the 19-year-old’s rising stock within the Red Bull driver development program.
Hadjar, who is currently competing in Formula 2 with Campos Racing, has consistently impressed both fans and the Red Bull hierarchy with his mature racecraft, sharp qualifying performances, and fearless overtakes. Marko’s latest comments reinforce growing speculation that Hadjar could be lining up for a Formula 1 seat sooner rather than later, especially as Red Bull continues to evaluate future talent for its AlphaTauri — now known as Visa Cash App RB — and even main Red Bull Racing seats.
“Every time he steps into the car, Hadjar is immediately on the pace,” Marko told media this week. “He’s spectacular, he’s consistent, and he shows no fear, which is exactly what we look for in young drivers. His progress has been very impressive.”
Hadjar’s strong performances in the fiercely competitive Formula 2 field have not gone unnoticed, especially as he battles more experienced rivals. His ability to adapt quickly to new circuits and conditions has earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting talents on the junior ladder.
With Red Bull’s history of fast-tracking promising drivers — as seen with Max Verstappen and more recently Liam Lawson — Hadjar’s name is now firmly on the shortlist for future F1 opportunities. If he maintains his form, it’s only a matter of time before the Frenchman makes his long-anticipated jump to the pinnacle of motorspor.
