Harry Kane WILL get his Tottenham send off! Eric Dier reveals special plans for Bayern Munich team-mate to get chance to bid proper farewell to Spurs supporters

Harry Kane will get a special send off at Tottenham, with Eric Dier revealing that Daniel Levy has plans in place for a fitting farewell.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The England captain, who is Spurs’ all-time leading goalscorer, was denied the opportunity to thank a loyal fan base for their support when bidding farewell to north London in the summer of 2023. He severed career-long ties with Tottenham when completing a big-money transfer to Bayern Munich.

WHAT DIER SAID

Dier has since followed Kane to Germany, with his move also rushed through in the winter window. The versatile 30-year-old has told The Athletic of Levy’s plans to put a proper goodbye in place – with there talk of a friendly date being arranged: “From speaking to Daniel, they plan for something for us (him and Kane) there. I don’t know, but he told me that was in the works.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE

While Kane would be the star of that show, Dier will forever boast strong ties to Spurs himself. He added on breaking those after close to 10 years on Tottenham’s books: “I look at it in a very fond way; I spent some incredible times there with incredible people, incredible players, great managers. Playing in the Premier League, playing for England, making friends who are friends for life outside football. I played for a fantastic football club. Obviously, within a nine-year span, there are going to be ups and downs. You look back at certain situations with regret, you look back at certain situations with disappointment. You look back at certain situations where it’s very easy to hyperanalyse. I look back at it with great fondness.”
