Harris Andrews Announce his moments after match: game is giving us the chills and for all the right reasons!

BRRRRRRRisbane this game is giving us the chills and for all the right reasons!

Our boys are back at the Gabba in front of a home crowd for the QLD Freeze.

So, rug up ladies and gentlemen as we plunge into the depths of this weeks Match Preview.

The last time our Lions faced off against the Saints, it was a tale of two halves that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The Lions prowled their forward half relentlessly in the opening quarters, with a whopping 34-15 inside 50s, but our accuracy was as elusive as a shadow, resulting in a modest 14-point lead after posting 4.11. After the break, the Saints came marching in with a blitz, kicking the first three goals to steal the lead. But with the scent of home finals wafting through the Gabba air, the boys roared back to life in the final quarter. Joe Daniher and Hugh McCluggage kicked critical goals that gave us some much-needed breathing room. Daniher was a standout, booting two goals from 17 disposals, while Lachie Neale turned up the heat with 30 touches and 10 clearances. Ultimately, the boys dominance was clear as they generated 23 more inside 50s, won the clearances by 16, and conquered the contested ball by 12. As both sides gear up for tonight’s clash at the Gabba, fans can expect another thrilling encounter!

QLD FREEZE!

The QLD Freeze will conclude a significant week for FightMND, starting with the annual Big Freeze at The MCG on the King’s Birthday holiday. This year marks the 10th anniversary of raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research and care.

To celebrate, the Lions have launched a QLD Freeze Membership, which includes a Big Freeze 10 Beanie, a prime seat at the game, and general admission to two other Lions home games. Brisbane Lions Co-Vice Captain Josh Dunkley expressed his excitement about supporting such a worthy cause and praised Neale Daniher’s relentless fight against MND.

The QLD Freeze at The Gabba will feature nine celebrities getting dunked into an ice-filled tank during Friday night’s match. Confirmed participants include former Australian tennis star John Millman, podcast duo Mitch and Leigh Drennan from We Got The Chocolates, Winter Olympian Britt Cox, reality TV star Adam Densten, AFLW coach Craig Starcevich, Queensland Premier Steven Miles, and Brisbane Bullets recruit Casey Prather.

Lachie Neale vs Marcus Windhager

There has been plenty of chatter about this one Lions fans!

It’s safe to say after Lachie Neale’s match-winning performance over the Western Bulldogs last week (38 disposals, 10 clearances and two goals) we fully expect St Kilda’s Marcus Windhager to tag our two-time Brownlow medallist.

Windhager has made a name him for himself over the last fortnight after putting the clamps on Gold Coast co-captain Touk Miller and West Coast’s Harley Reid, helping his side to victory on both occasions.

Coach Chris Fagan fully anticipates Windhager to target Neale come Friday night stating ” No doubt there’ll be some planning around Lachie or maybe one of our other midfielders. Lachie gets attention most weeks, it’s nothing new for us”.

No doubt this is going to be one to watch!
