The Browns find themselves in need of an offensive line coach, and eyes naturally turn to Joe Thomas, a bona fide legend in Browns history and now testing the waters in the coaching realm.
So, is Thomas eyeing the job?
According to a chat with Mary Kay Cabot over at cleveland.com, Thomas is definitely keen on coaching full-time down the road, but not quite at this juncture.
#Browns Hall of Fame left tackle Joe Thomas made it clear he will NOT be taking the offensive line coach position in Cleveland. With the departure of Bill Callahan to the Titans, there was speculation maybe (just maybe) Thomas could be a potential replacement.

“I’m not [interested] at this point,” Thomas told Cabot. “I won’t be interested in NFL or college jobs until my kids are in college. Maybe not even then, but certainly not until then.”
Thomas, now 39, is currently lending his expertise to the Munich Ravens in the European League of Football, a role he”s diving into while balancing family life. He and his wife, Annie, are juggling the adventure with their four grade-school-aged kiddos, currently stationed over in Germany. Annie”s got history in Europe, with roots that tie back to England during her own second-grade days.

With Thomas keeping his focus across the pond, the Browns will have to cast their net wider as they hunt for someone to step into the shoes of the esteemed Bill Callahan, who headed off to Tennessee to team up with his son, Brian.
The coaching shuffle in Cleveland is real, having already swapped out offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, running backs coach Stump Mitchell, and tight ends coach T.C. McCartney this offseason, bringing in the likes of Ken Dorsey, Duce Staley, and Tommy Rees to fill those spots.
