Gustaf Lagerbielke Celtic Transfer Exit OFF Amid Cameron Carter Vickers Injury Sweat

Gustaf Lagerbielke has reportedly had his loan switch to Lecce scrapped by Celtic amid injury fears over Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The Swedish defender arrived at the Scottish Premiership for a fee in the region of £3million from Elfsborg but has failed to establish himself in the side and Brendan Rodgers appeared happy to allow the centre-back to make the move to Serie A. However, Sky Sports in Italy report that the Hoops have pulled the plug on a potential switch injury concerns over Carter-Vickers.

The 26-year-old made his first appearance since the winter break in the win over Ross County, but was replaced in the second half by Maik Nawrocki. And is is claimed that while Celtic await further details on the extent of the injury to the US international the temporary exit is at a “standstill.”

Lagerbielke had “already accepted the Italian destination” in a loan switch. He is reportedly attempting to “force” a deal before the window slams shut.
