Silva, a seasoned sports and media executive, brings over 25 years of experience to his new role, having previously held prominent positions across various sports organizations.
Silva’s extensive background includes serving as the CEO of C360, an innovative company delivering immersive 360-degree video solutions for broadcast and digital platforms. Prior to that, he was the President of MDE Sports and Entertainment, overseeing assets such as the Citi Open Tennis Tournament and the Washington Kastles of World TeamTennis (WTT). His tenure as CEO of WTT was marked by successfully navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he orchestrated a secure bubble environment at The Greenbrier in West Virginia for the 2020 season. This initiative not only ensured the continuation of the league but also expanded its reach through partnerships with major broadcasters like CBS Sports, ESPN, and Tennis Channel, resulting in the largest audience in the league’s 45-year history.
Beyond tennis, Silva’s career encompasses leadership roles such as CEO of the World Series of Fighting, where he facilitated the organization’s transition to the Professional Fighters League (PFL). He also contributed to the growth of Universal Sports Network as President and COO, leading up to its acquisition by NBC and its evolution into the Olympic Channel. His early career saw him at AOL, managing major web destinations including AOL Sports, News, and Money.
