four players Nottingham Forest could still sell before deadline day

The recruitment strategy at Nottingham Forest has been much better this summer – but it remains far from perfect.

This year, the club still have a number of players floating around who have played little if any football in the Garibaldi.

Forest have added nine new players to their ranks this summer and it does look as though two or three more players will arrive before Friday’s deadline.

Last week, Joe Worrall left the club after a number of years of service but he leaves behind a few other players who are kicking their heels on the fringes.

According to The Telegraph, Forest aren’t solely focused on new signings before the deadline on Friday but there are four players the club want to move on.

One of them is last year’s main goalkeeper signing Matt Turner who cost the club £10 million from Arsenal ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

He’s currently the third choice option on Trentside and at 30 he wants to be playing regular football.

Elsewhere, Josh Bowler is wanted by Preston and he could move without playing a single competitive game for the Reds.

Another player who fits the mantra of never playing a senior game is Hwang Ui-jo and he’s also up for sale at the City Ground.

Another player who is up for grabs is Emmanuel Dennis and after initially looking like he might get a chance under Nuno Espirito Santo, he’s now available for transfer too.
