Charlie Cresswell had made a positive start to life in Ligue 1 with new club Toulouse, but found himself on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat at the weekend.
The former Whites defender completed a move to France earlier this summer and has been an early mainstay in Carles Martinez Novell’s side. However, it was an afternoon to forget for the England youth international, with the French national media giving him a lowly rating of 2/10 for his performance.
The French media are known for their harsh player ratings and have described Cresswell’s performance as “terrible.” Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood opened the scoring for Marseille, capitalising on Cresswell being slow to react and running off the back of the defender to score.
