Eli Tomac Revs Up for 2025 Pro Motocross Season: A Championship Mindset

Eli Tomac, one of motocross’s most decorated riders, is gearing up for his final full season in the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX), bringing a determined championship mindset to the Pro Motocross series. The 32-year-old Colorado native has re-signed with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, aiming to add to his impressive tally of eight AMA titles—four in Supercross and four in Pro Motocross .
Entering his fourth year with Yamaha, Tomac has amassed 15 Supercross wins and 14 Pro Motocross moto victories aboard the YZ450F. Despite injuries sidelining him during the penultimate rounds of the last two Supercross seasons, he remains the winningest active rider and second on the all-time Supercross win list with 52 victories .
Tomac’s 2025 campaign follows a challenging 2024 season, where a thumb injury forced him to miss the Supercross finale. Nevertheless, he secured a fourth-place finish in the 450SX standings and third overall in 450SMX, despite missing 10 rounds. His resilience was further demonstrated as he led Team USA at the Motocross of Nations in the UK, narrowly missing victory by three points .
Looking ahead, Tomac is focused on a strong start to the Pro Motocross season, emphasizing the importance of entering the series healthy and prepared. “I’m excited for 2025. For me, the most important thing was to do my best to come in healthy, and as of now, I am a lot stronger than I was the year before,” Tomac stated .
