Done Deal: Lewis Hamilton Signs Three-Year Sponsorship Deal With..

Lewis Hamilton has officially extended his stay with Mercedes by signing a new two-year contract, securing his future with the team through the 2025 Formula 1 season. The deal, reportedly worth £50 million per year, puts an end to months of speculation about his potential move to Ferrari. This contract will keep Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, in Formula 1 well into his 40s.

Hamilton, who joined Mercedes in 2013, has enjoyed tremendous success with the team, winning six of his seven championships while driving for the Silver Arrows. His 2021 season ended controversially, with Hamilton narrowly missing out on an eighth championship in Abu Dhabi, but he remains determined to return to championship-winning form. Mercedes has struggled to match the dominance of Red Bull in recent seasons, but Hamilton emphasized his belief that the team will soon be back at the top of the grid.

In a statement, Hamilton expressed excitement about continuing with the team, citing “unfinished business” and reaffirming his commitment to help Mercedes win again. Team boss Toto Wolff praised Hamilton’s leadership and contributions both on and off the track, noting that Hamilton has been instrumental in shaping Mercedes’ focus on diversity and sustainability.

Alongside Hamilton, teammate George Russell also extended his contract through 2025, ensuring a stable driver lineup for Mercedes as they look to challenge Red Bull’s supremacy in the coming seasons. Both drivers are optimistic that the team’s ongoing developments will bring them back to championship contention.
