On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons will practice together. On Friday night, the clubs will square off in a preseason game at Hard Rock Stadium
Two days of combined workouts between the Miami Dolphins and the visiting Atlanta Falcons are scheduled. Friday at 7:30 PM at Hard Rock Stadium will mark the start of the teams’ preseason.
On August 15th, Thursday, the Dolphins and the Washington Commanders will also have combined practices. On August 21, Miami will have a combined practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to wrap up the preseason before its final exhibition.
McDaniel Expects a Change of Tempo
Mike McDaniel, the coach of Miami, is excited to watch the Dolphins take on another team. Don’t tell the Dolphins that it’s just practice.
“I believe there will be a few teams that are genuinely eager to play against another team,” McDaniel stated on Monday. “We are in the phase of training camp where it gets difficult because you have exhausted all of your counters and moves.” Thus, it will be a welcome change of pace.”
A Professional Rivalry Despite a Personal Connection
Raheem Morris, the coach of Atlanta, and McDaniel have collaborated in past league stops. Together, the two traveled to Atlanta and Washington. They get along well, and Morris is well regarded by McDaniel.
“I think in regards to Raheem Morris, one of my favorite coaches I’ve ever worked with, very impactful for me because of his defensive prowess,” McDaniel stated. “I believe you will witness two competitive teams attempting to define their identities and hone their skills in mutual defense. It ought to be quite intense.
Dolphins Are Getting Ready to Play Football
Former colleagues get to square off against Miami tight end Jonnu Smith. Smith participated in last season’s Falcons games.
“Hey, man, I’ve been fighting those guys. Smith remarked, “They’ve got some good players on that side, but I’m treating it like game day [tomorrow] whoever lines up in front of me.” I’m eager to get out, eager to have fun with these men, and eager to do it with this group of guys too.”
Emmanuel Ogbah, a defensive tackle, is happy that he can now strike a non-teammate.

The linebacker for the Dolphins, Quinton Bell, had a special way of expressing how he felt and approached working with the Falcons during practice.
“I can’t wait. Playing actual football versus a different team is an interesting experience, even though it’s entertaining to take on the Dolphins and their insane offense.”
