Speaking ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Liverpool, Mikel Arteta said Arsenal were not at their best level against West Ham and Fulham.
He said: “We weren’t at the level. We weren’t good enough. I don’t think we deserved to lose the match, but we didn’t do enough to win it.
“Hopefully not because it was a one-off. I haven’t seen the team do what we did in certain periods of the match so hopefully not.”
The Gunners suffered successive defeats against their two London rivals after being held at Anfield. Arteta’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League, five points behind leaders Liverpool.
