“DeSean Jackson Calls for 49ers to Set One Star Free: Who’s Next in San Francisco’s Offseason Shuffle?”

The San Francisco 49ers want to keep Brandon Aiyuk, but he does not appear to feel the same way.

Since they lost in the Super Bowl, the wide receiver and his management have made a lot of noise on social media, generating trade speculations and making it plain that he is unhappy with his present role in the offense.

That’s why teammate wide receiver DeSean Jackson believes it’s time for him to be released.

Talking to Kay Adams for her Up & Adams Show, the former Philadelphia Eagles player remarked that the Niners should do the right thing and let him go, as they will not be able to sign him to the kind of deal he wants and deserves due to their pay cap.

“Let that man be free and go get a deal somewhere else,” Jackson went on to say.

Aiyuk made the rounds for tweeting at Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin over the obvious similarities between the two, fueling rumors of his desire to play in Pittsburgh.

With that in mind, Jackson believes he could be a great fit, as they’ve improved their quarterback room, and they’ve just moved on from Diontae Johnson, so they clearly need someone else besides George Pickens.

Aiyuk is a very good wide receiver, but his chances of getting more touches in Kyle Shanahan’s stacked offense are slim.
