The Denver Broncos’ Key Players Suffers As A Result Of Injuries, And It Seems Unlikely That They Will Recover

Safety After failing to practice on Friday, Justin Simmons is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears.

Simmons’ participation in Denver’s final practice session before Week 4 was limited on Wednesday and Thursday.

Outside linebacker Frank Clark (hip), inside linebacker Josey Jewell (hip), and defensive tackle Mike Purcell (ribs) are also out for Denver. This week, none of the three players practiced.

In Jewell’s absence, head coach Sean Payton requested that inside linebacker Drew Sanders play with Alex Singleton.

“I think Drew’s earned that opportunity,” Payton said. “We saw enough of it in the preseason, and I’m sure he’s excited.”

Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy improved to a full participant on Friday with his knee injury and was not given a game status. The lack of a game status indicates a player will be available to play.

Center Lloyd Cushenberry III was added to the injury report with an illness, as he exited practice during the media-viewing portion. Payton said he believed Cushenberry would be fine, and he was not given a game status.
