Sporting and Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres is being watched by West Ham, according to 90 Minutes.

On Wednesday, November 8, the publication announced on its website that Brentford, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund are also interested.

Only transferred from Coventry City to Sporting in the summer, the 25-year-old has 11 goals this season across all competitions.

“Sources have confirmed for 90 minutes that AC Milan is keeping a close eye on Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres’ impressive performances.”

Borussia Dortmund, who are presently leading Group F in the Champions League after defeating Newcastle United 2-0, is also showing interest in Gyokeres. West Ham United and Brentford are also monitoring his progress, having expressed interest in him earlier in the summer.

Gyokeres arrived in Portugal and made an instant impact. This season, he has already scored ten goals.

Six of his goals have come from within the league; two have come from the Europa League and three from the Allianz Cup.

The Hammers may have finally caught up to their competitive nature after a stellar start to the season, as they are currently finding it difficult to win in a variety of competitions.

In addition, their main winger, Jarrod Bowen, is scoring goals for them rather than Danny Ings and Michail Antonio, the team’s strikers.

Given that their star player has only recently joined the team, it appears improbable that Sporting will be willing to bid their idol farewell.

Unfortunately for David Moyes and West Ham, the team at London Stadium could really use a player of his caliber.
