Congratulations as Elena Rybakina Appoints former Wimbledon champion as her coach from 2025 as She faces Jasmine Paolini in her first pool match on Saturday

Elena Rybakina, the world’s fifth-ranked tennis player and 2022 Wimbledon champion, has appointed Goran Ivanisevic as her coach for the upcoming 2025 season. Ivanisevic, a former Wimbledon winner himself, famously triumphed as a wildcard in 2001. He has been instrumental in coaching several top ATP players, most notably Novak Djokovic, whom he guided to nine Grand Slam victories before their coaching partnership ended earlier this year.

Rybakina, who recently ended her long-standing collaboration with coach Stefano Vukov, expressed enthusiasm for working with Ivanisevic, citing his wealth of experience and knowledge of high-level competition as key factors in her decision. “I’m really looking forward to this partnership. He’s a great champion, and he has so much experience,” Rybakina stated at a press conference ahead of the WTA Finals in Riyadh.

Ivanisevic’s appointment is expected to bring a new tactical perspective to Rybakina’s game, focusing on enhancing her aggressive baseline style and powerful serve, qualities that have already made her a formidable force on the women’s tour. Ivanisevic shared his excitement on social media, noting his enthusiasm for entering the WTA circuit and working with such a talented player.

Rybakina is currently preparing to compete in the WTA Finals, where she is set to face Jasmine Paolini in her first pool match. This prestigious event, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will test her skills against the world’s top players, including Aryna Sabalenka and Zheng Qinwen, all vying for the year-end title.

With Ivanisevic on her team, Rybakina aims to elevate her game and make a strong bid for more Grand Slam success in the coming season, solidifying her place among the sport’s elite players.
