Colin Cowherd Thinks Justin Fields’ One Team “Is Not Great”

There’s a chance the Pittsburgh Steelers would try to sign Justin Fields.

Some sportsbooks even have them as the overwhelming favorites to sign him for the upcoming season, ahead of his current team, the Chicago Bears.

Colin Cowherd, a sports analyst, doesn’t believe that will help him advance, though.

The well-known commentator stated on his program that the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers are the two teams in the NFL that are more focused on defense.

This is not good for his career, in my opiniNFTon. Cowherd declared, “He needs an offensive head coach.”

He thinks that playing for a defensive coach like Mike Tomlin won’t help him or be much better than his current situation under Matt Eberflus.

This makes sense, and the Steelers haven’t had an elite quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger’s downfall, so it’s not like they’ve been used to building their roster and game plan around their offense.

Even so, the Steelers do have some solid pieces in place that could benefit from Fields and vice versa.

In addition to having a superior offensive line to the Bears, they also have more skill players and quality at wide receiver and running back.

Arthur Smith may be even more effective with a lot more gifted quarterback with a dual-threat skill set, like the Ohio State product, after years of subpar play. Smith accomplished miracles with Ryan Tannehill during his days with the Tennessee Titans.
