McCann feels the momentum is with the Ibrox side and they believe they can leapfrogg their rivals as the pressure builds.
Neil McCann can see the title pressure starting to tell on Celtic as he insists they know that “Rangers are coming.”
Brendan Rodgers’ side missed the chance to extend their lead to eight points after a lunchtime draw at Pittodrie. Their rivals then jumped on that slip, cutting the gap to just three points with a game in hand after a 3-0 triumph over Livingston at Ibrox. If they beat Aberdeen by three goals on Tuesday, then they’ll take top spot for 24 hours at least
McCann reckons the momentum is with his former club, and with that a growing belief that they can hit the summit and wrestle the title back from Celtic. “It think it will go to the wire,” said the Sportscene pundit. “Philippe Clement is very good with the media. He deals with questions really well and in-house, I think there’s a bit of momentum and belief in that Rangers squad.
They’re starting to gallop, they’re starting to gain already with that game in hand that would take them level on points. Then you start to apply the pressure. I think the Celtic players are feeling a bit of pressure from the fans, because they know that Rangers are coming.”
