Former Rangers star Gordon Dalziel has stressed the importance of the work ethic Fabio Silva has shown since arriving at the club in the winter transfer window.
Rangers signed the forward from Wolves on loan for the rest of the season even before the winter transfer window opened.
Silva has made three league appearances for the Glasgow giants and scored his first goal for the club in their 3-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox over the weekend.
The forward is still to win over the Rangers fans, but Dalziel stressed that one thing that is great about Silva is his willingness to work hard for the team.
He admitted that Silva is not a traditional striker but is keener to get involved in the game and put in the hard yards for the side.
Dalziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “The one thing that you can’t deny is that the boy is a worker.
“He will go and work his socks off for the team.
Sometimes he takes up positions when an actual striker will just hang about the box, waiting for the chances but he likes to go deep, link up and run at players.
“He looks a very good player.”
Silva will hope to start when Rangers host Neil Warnock’s Aberdeen at Ibrox on Tuesday night in a Scottish Premiership game.
