After Being Called Up To The England Squad, Trent Alexander-Arnold Is Listed As A Midfielder Once Again.

The only player from Liverpool included in the England team for the forthcoming Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia is Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Gareth Southgate has once again listed the Liverpool right-back as a midfield player.

In his starting position, Trent is behind players like Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker.

Even in midfield, though, other players—like Kalvin Phillips, who hardly plays for Manchester City—are preferred over him.

Even so, Trent may get some playing time against the weaker opponents, particularly if they win the opening game and qualify for the Euro 2024. To do so, they only require one point.

Trent on his ‘exciting time’ with England: ‘People are seeing I can be more effective in the middle of the pitch.
