Caitlin Clark declared her desire to enter the WNBA Draft on Thursday, but her record-breaking season at Iowa is not done.
Clark and the Hawkeyes still have their sights set on a national championship, and the reigning player of the year still has more records to break. She is on track to shatter Pete Maravich’s NCAA scoring record on Sunday, just days after breaking Lynette Woodard’s unofficial women’s scoring mark.
Clark is also making history from beyond the arc. She set the NCAA women’s single-season record for 3-pointers in Wednesday’s blowout of Minnesota, and the overall single season record co-owned by Stephen Curry is now well within reach.

Clark has been a sharpshooter since she arrived at Iowa — her career-high percentage from beyond the arc actually came during her freshman season — but she’s taken on an even higher volume over the last two years. Clark made 140 3-pointers in 2022-23, and she’s sitting on a record 156 this season with at least three games remaining.
Clark now only needs seven 3-pointers to break the NCAA single-season record, held by former Davidson star Stephen Curry and former Liberty guard Darius McGhee. Even at 156, she stands sixth on the NCAA all-time single season leaderboard. That puts Clark on pace to cruise past the record and potentially shatter it if Iowa can make a deep NCAA Tournament run.
