Brentford Academy celebrates new intake of players…

The Brentford FC Academy recently hosted a series of celebration evenings to mark a significant milestone for the club. The events welcomed a new cohort of players aged 9-16, the first intake since the Academy’s reintroduction. Academy director Stephen Torpey emphasized the vision for the Academy to be “admired as the most caring and progressive football academy in the world” and highlighted the theme of “winning through development.”

Each evening featured a Q&A session with a B-team player, including Conor McManus, Ethan Brierley, Benjamin Fredrick, Benjamin Arthur, and Ollie Shield. Jamie Greenwood, head of football development, provided information on the games program and essential details for parents and players.

Torpey expressed gratitude for the success of the events, thanking players, families, and staff for their support and dedication. He acknowledged the collaborative effort across departments to prepare for the new intake and looked forward to exciting developments from the Academy.
