BREAKING: Warriors’ head coach cancels game because…

Former Warriors coach would cancel Game 4 of Lakers-Nuggets series if he were NBA commissioner

During his tenure as the Golden State Warriors’ head coach, Mark Jackson asserted that he would cancel Saturday night’s Game 4 of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets playoff series if he were the NBA commissioner.
Regarding the impending game between the Lakers and Nuggets, Jackson declared, “If I were commissioner for a day, there wouldn’t be a Game 4.” I’d simply call it off. I would simply call it off. Even for a day, if I were commissioner, I could see enough. Add the — let’s approach this like a boxing match. Simply toss in the towel. Since they are not fighting, someone in the stands ought to have the authority to declare the match finished. They don’t intend to stay alive for very long. Their enthusiasm, effort, and vitality have all been lacking.

The Lakers are in serious risk of losing to Denver in the postseason for the second consecutive year after falling to Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets in four games during the 2023 Western Conference Finals.

Los Angeles’ seven-point defeat in Thursday’s Game 3 at Crypto.com Arena has left them facing a 0–3 series disadvantage.

In their home loss, the Lakers only had three players score in double figures: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves. For Los Angeles, all three players finished with at least 22 points, but they were the only ones on the squad to score in double figures.

At the end of the 2023–24 regular season, D’Angelo Russell was playing some of his finest basketball while wearing a Lakers uniform. However, he may have had his worst offensive outing of the year on Thursday. Despite missing all seven of his field goal attempts, six of which were 3-pointers, he was unable to get a point for the venerable team.

Russell wasn’t as effective as normal when it came to creating plays, as seen by the fact that in just over 24 minutes of playing time, he only contributed two assists to one turnover.

Regardless of how Game 4 turns out, history indicates that the Lakers have already lost this series. He will try to make up for his lackluster offensive performance in Game 3. Ultimately, no NBA playoff team in history has managed to overcome a 0–3 series deficit in order to advance.

Even though the Lakers’ season is in the last stages and looks like it will finish soon, Los Angeles is still in the playoffs and may force a Game 5 with a victory at home.
