Tennessee Titans Sign Aaron Rodgers to Four-Year, $75 Million Deal
In a stunning move, the Tennessee Titans have signed four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers to a four-year, $75 million contract, sources confirmed Tuesday. The deal includes a guaranteed $50 million, securing the veteran quarterback’s services as Tennessee looks to retool its offense.
Rodgers, 41, was a free agent after a short and injury-marred stint with the New York Jets, where he played only four snaps in the 2023 season before suffering a torn Achilles. Now fully recovered, the future Hall of Famer is set to lead a Titans franchise that has struggled to find consistency under center since the departure of Ryan Tannehill.
“We believe Aaron still has plenty left in the tank,” said Titans general manager Ran Carthon. “His leadership, experience, and ability to make plays in crucial moments are exactly what we need as we build toward championship contention.”
Rodgers joins a Tennessee team that finished 7-10 last season, missing the playoffs for a second straight year. While the Titans have young quarterbacks in Will Levis and Malik Willis, the front office opted for a proven veteran to elevate the offense, which struggled in 2024. Rodgers will be reunited with former Green Bay Packers teammate DeAndre Hopkins, giving Tennessee a potent passing attack alongside star running back Derrick Henry.
The signing also signals the Titans’ commitment to competing immediately, as Rodgers’ arrival brings expectations of a deep playoff run.
“This is an exciting opportunity,” Rodgers said in a statement. “Tennessee has a great football culture, and I’m eager to get to work with my new teammates. I’m here to win.”
With free agency in full swing, Rodgers’ blockbuster signing could reshape the AFC South and make the Titans a legitimate contender in 2025.
